Red Shirt Guy Interviewed By Local Newspaper
The
Los Angeles Times
' website have just posted the Sun Sentinel's interview with the now e-famous "Red Shirt Guy" aka Ian Bates. As I'm sure you guys have noticed, he's become a bit of an internet celebrity after pretty much pwning Blizzard at their own lore (check out our
original post
). Blizzard, being the good sports that they are, have not only fixed the mistake but have added an
NPC in his honor
! The article reports that the original video's popularity has surged so greatly that he's even been contacted by YouTube for a partnership opportunity!
He will donate the proceeds of his partnership with YouTube, which this month volunteered to start giving him a share of online ad revenue. He said an Asperger's syndrome foundation will get the money because he himself has a mild case of Asperger's, a type of autism.
Infinite internet karma to you, Ian. :)
